AV Tech installs audio-visual solutions for Commercial and Higher Education clients including cable pulls, terminations, digital signage, rack building, completing troubleshooting and more. This full-time position is primarily on weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm but may involve shift work, occasional travel, and overtime. Work environments range from construction sites to classrooms and meeting rooms.

Day in the Life Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
• Serve as main on-site point of contact.
• Install, test, and label audio/video/data cables. Including lacing, soldering, and crimping.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and test equipment. Build and test equipment racks.
• Load/install software, code, and firmware on devices. Transport products to job sites.
• Maintain cleanliness of job sites and complete daily paperwork including timesheets.
• Adhere to safety protocols and undergo required training.
• Travel to and from job sites, occasionally requiring overnight stays.
• Ability to work on rotating “on-call” service schedule, occasionally.

• Communication: Effectively communicating with contractors, team members, and project managers.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrating proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting a variety of audio-visual equipment and systems.
• Safety: Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring a safe work environment for yourself, colleagues, and clients.
• Problem Resolution: Promptly addressing and resolving any issues or challenges that arise during installation or afterwards.

On Day One We Expect AV Techs to Have:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in audio/video or low voltage systems installation.
• Own hard hat, safety vest, and steel toe safety boots.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and clean driving record. Pass background check.

Physical Requirements:

• Climbing ladders and working on lifts and scaffolding. Work outdoors and in construction elements.
• Driving, standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, grasping, sitting, for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift, carry, and pull up to 50 pounds.
