Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Architect to join our team for a long-term, full-time position. Salary is commensurate with an overall evaluation of your work experience, technical skills, and people skills.

As a Project Architect, you will lead and collaborate on a wide range of projects from concept to completion. Your creativity, technical expertise, and passion for design will play a pivotal role in shaping Hawaii’s built environment and exceeding our clients' expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Successfully manage and lead multiple projects of various sizes and complexities. Manage costs and schedules effectively to keep the projects on track and on budget.
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients to build positive relationships, understand their needs, and manage expectations.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and consultants to facilitate successful project delivery.
  • Technical Expertise: Oversee and lead the production of detailed architectural drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and schedules.
  • Code Compliance: Stay up to date with building codes, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure projects meet all required standards.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks to ensure project documentation complies with client goals, regulations, and design standards.
  • Construction Administration: Oversee construction activities, including site visits, reviewing submittals, and ensuring compliance with design intent and local building codes.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Hawaii resident with the ability to work in-office. No relocation or international applicants will be considered. This is not a remote position.
  • Licensed architect in the State of Hawaii with 3 years of experience as a licensed Architect.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Team player with effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to operate with limited supervision.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work.

Technical Requirements

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
  • Strong understanding of building codes and regulations.
  • Strong in architectural detailing.
