TITLE: E-COMMERCE ADMINISTRATORPosition DescriptionThe E-Commerce Administrator will help drive online sales for AM Leonard brands. This position reports to the Director of Marketing (or, in lieu of a director, this position will report to the Marketing Operations Manager) and works closely with the Marketing, Merchandising and Creative departments to coordinate web marketing efforts related to the Gardener’s Edge e-commerce website. The E-Commerce Administrator will also maintain all social media sites for AM Leonard, including Gardener’s Edge.Essential FunctionsExecute digital marketing projects related to site functionality, performance and usabilityPrepare project timelines and tracking results to drive on-time marketing project completionDeliver on day-to-day marketing tasks to ensure maximum effectiveness of web, email and print strategiesAssist in delivering on catalog production projects to meet deadlinesCoordinate advertising with outside affiliates.Promotional Email Generation concerning the GE siteAnalyze catalog results and product presentation to improve sales, copywriting/editing catalog, and website product informationLead Organic SEO Efforts to maximize visibility in Google, Bing and other search engines. Lead SEM Management Relationship to ensure proper spending and lead generation for the GE e-commerce sites.Coordinate all social media efforts for AM Leonard and Gardener’s EdgeCompetenciesCommunication throughout the work environment, both written and oral Flexibility and Time Management to manage changing priorities and demonstrate ability to make changes on the flyAdaptability to quickly move from one task to another without losing focus, and being able to resume progress of previously started tasks seamlessly.Strategic Thinking and Problem Solving to solve complex problems, persist through significant obstacles and data, summarize and communicate critical information accuratelyPersonal Development and Learning Orientation with enthusiasm and ability to learn new concepts to improve marketing and professional skillsQuality Orientation with a focus on attention to detail in facilitation of 100% error-free artwork and copy including technical accuracy across various mediums (email, articles, product copy, or press releases) Relentless drive for Continuous Improvement and Innovation to improve marketing processes, initiate new marketing ideas and identify potential marketing opportunitiesProject Management to successfully manage multiple projects at once and persist through significant obstacles for issue resolution Required Education & Experience
  • 2 years in a marketing environment
  • BS/BA in Marketing or Communications or five years of related experience.
Preferred Education & ExperienceExperience in Gardening or Landscaping IndustryPhysical DemandsThis position is in an office setting with most work being completed from a desk. Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with overtime as needed.Work EnvironmentThis positions works in a temperature-controlled office setting, but may require entering a Distribution Center in varying temperature and noise levels.Supervisory ResponsibilityThe Web Marketing Coordinator role does not have supervisory responsibility.

Employees receive paid time off from day one, including 80 hours of vacation time (prorated based on the start date for the first year) and 40 hours of personal time. After the first full year of employment, eight additional hours of vacation are granted annually.
