Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of all Alzheimer's Community Care facilities. You will perform a variety of tasks, including preventative maintenance, repairs, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with experience managing facilities and a passion for ensuring a safe and secure environment for staff, patients, and guests.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance and repairs on facilities and equipment.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules, equipment replacement plans, and renovation projects.
• Manage vendor relationships for major repairs and oversee contractor work.
• Conduct monthly inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.
• Maintain an inventory of assets and oversee their disposal.
• Manage space allocation, layout, and furniture arrangements within the facilities.
• Train staff on emergency procedures.
• Prepare and manage expense reports.
• Respond to and manage facility emergencies.
• Perform duties assigned during disaster situations.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary certificate/degree in Facilities Maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (preferred) or 7 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing facilities and maintenance activities in a multi-site environment.
• At least 3 years of experience working in a professional office setting.
• Valid Florida driver's license with no restrictions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• This is a non-exempt position requiring work beyond scheduled hours when necessary.
• The work environment may involve lifting, walking, standing, and exposure to occasional unpleasant odors.
• Weekend or evening on-call may be required for emergencies.
