**Job Description**

**Job Title: RivALZ Manager and Event Coordinator Colorado Chapter**

**Location: Denver, CO**

**Full time** based on a minimum of 37.5 hours per week

**Grade: 204 $38,300 - $48,800**

**Reports To: Sr. Director of Development**

**Position Summary:**

Manage, plan and implement all aspects of the Chapters RivALZ annual flag football fundraising event to achieve revenue goals. Responsible for planning and coordinating activities and logistics related to the annual Purple Gala featuring the Memories in the Making (MIM) Art Auction fundraiser. Instrumental in coordinating and managing efforts that help to achieve revenue goals. In additional, this position requires significant collaboration with staff, volunteers and the community to support other fundraising efforts for the Chapter to achieve goals.

**Responsibilities**

Essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

RivALZ -Manager

* Responsible for committee development, player recruitment, budget, timeline, marketing, logistics and best practice implementation for the annual RivALZ flag football game and wrap-around events.

* This position requires significant collaboration with volunteers, the community and staff to achieve goals.

* Execute plan for maximizing event participation to achieve revenue goals by retaining existing players, attracting new ones, and providing fundraising guidance and support.

* Works directly with Chapter Marketing/Communications staff to market and promote the event.

* Maintain accurate and complete participant and financial records for the event.

* Maintain the database for participants and donors

The Purple Gala featuring the Memories in the Making Art AuctionEvent Coordination

* Responsible for managing logistics and contracts for equipment rentals, Movers and AV Production and other event needs.

* Work with the Memories in the Making (MIM) Program Manager to Coordinate art submission from over 50 MIM sites in Denver area for jurying and selection for framing and auction to generate revenue at the Purple Gala.

* Solicits and Coordinates all the donated framing for the artwork.

* Manages all the relationships with the Gala vendors.

* Works directly with local professional artists to secure their donated artwork for the auction.

* Inventories and organizes auction items, including descriptions, artist bios, photographing the artwork, and preparing the spreadsheets for electronic auction company.

* Coordinates the Annual Artists Tea including the wrapping, labeling and moving of the artwork, taking RSVPs for the event and direct work with the host site.

* Responsible for the recruitment, scheduling, and training of all volunteers for event set-up, take-down, and operational activities during event for both The Artists Tea and The Purple Gala.

* On-site management of all volunteers.

* Works with the Memories in the Making Program Manager to plan the Care Communities Thankyou Party.

* Tracks all expenses for the Gala

Other Development Responsibilities

* Works directly with the Senior Director of Development to provide support for Colorado Gives Day to help meet revenue goals.

* Manages all emails and touch points for Colorado Gives Day donors.

* Works with the Senior Director of Development Director, Walk Managers and The Longest Day Manager to provide logistical support and day of support for these and other Chapter events as needed.

* Represents the Association at Public Events, conferences and workshops where there is fundraising or awareness potential for the Chapter.

* C hapter Lead for the Hustle Texting Program for the Walk To End Alzheimers and The Longest Day.

**Qualifications:**

* Bachelors degree preferred

* Must have 3-5 years of experience managing the logistics for large events.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**

* High comfort level working with donors, vendors, constituents and the public.

* Strong computer skillsespecially Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Workspace.

* Excellent organizational and communications skillsboth written and verbal.

* Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

* Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.

* Ability to travel within the state with personal car.

* Valid drivers license, access to personal vehicle, and acceptable driving record.

* Mobility in a variety of office, conference and event settings required.

* Ability to lift 25 lbs to shoulder height required.
