Always Best Care Senior Services is Hiring a Lead Caregiver Near Denver, CO

Always Best Care is a non-medical home care agency that is dedicated to providing compassionate and high-quality care to our clients.

Summary:

The Lead Caregiver will play a pivotal role in the success of the agency. The Lead Caregiver’s goals are to support the care coordination team in the office & out in the field, provide interim care for shifts with call outs, and be a fellow caregiver advocate.

This position will support Always Best Care clients and their families in Denver, Aurora, Centennial and Parker.

Exceptional performance could result in promotion to care coordinator.

Guaranteed full 40 hour schedule per week.

Responsibilities:

Serve as backup support for interim care of a client if a call-out is not able to be restaffed immediately to minimize a gap in care.

Support the Care Coordination team with the following activities:

  • Monitor clients' conditions and update the care plan accordingly. Document all changes in clear care and notify the care team of any updates to the care plan.
  • Serve as a liaison between client and caregiver on first visits upon start of care and/or start of a new caregiver
  • Complete supervisory visits with all assigned clients in accordance with CDPHE regulations. Document all visits in ClearCare.
  • Manage and document incidents, complaints, occurrences, and other quality management activities.

Be an advocate for the caregiver team

  • Call caregivers who worked the first shift of a new client and ask them how their shift went.
  • Make mentoring visits to help support and supervise new caregivers
  • Train caregivers in the office or in the field
  • Participate and train new caregivers in orientation
  • Routinely check in with caregivers - Assigned a list of caregivers to reach out to weekly

Provide administrative support in the office, when not needed in the field, for tasks such as:

  • Answering phones in a warm, efficient, and friendly manner, documenting messages thoroughly and ensuring follow up

Requirements:

  • Passion for working with seniors
  • Experience in a caregiving or healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
