SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Control Center Technician is responsible for providing support to ongoing laboratory activities in a cGMP environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities of this role include the following :

Provide support to laboratory activities : Coordinate sample receipt and distribution.Stage testing materials for analysts.

Prepare test solutions, reagents, buffers, and mobile phases.Perform basic laboratory procedures in accordance with approved procedures / documents.

Maintain laboratory inventory.Maintain laboratory equipment.Perform laboratory housekeeping duties.

• Maintain accurate records using laboratory notebooks and computer systems.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• Ensure all required training relating to hazardous waste management duties is maintained and current.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma plus 3 years working experience, or Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in computer use (Word, Excel, internet) with ability to learn new computer applications.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures and methods.
• Highly organized and operates with a sense of urgency in a fast paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment.

GMP DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY

Identifies and escalates issues to laboratory management.

This role will offer an hourly range that is commensurate with experience and demonstrated skills in the $15.00 - $18.00 range.
