IBHC Psychiatric Physician Assistant.

Career Summary:

Alvis Inc is seeking to expand Its psychiatric and addiction services. This position is full time and requires no on call or weekend coverage. Hours are typically 8 hr. daily shifts on site. The position may require travel between Alvis sites and the local jail all currently within ~ 4-9 mile. Telehealth services are provided from the Columbus office to Alvis clients at our Toledo, Lima, and Chillicothe sites.

The psychiatric physician assistant would join the growing medical team of board-certified addictionology’s, psychiatric Clinical Nurse Practitioner, Nurses and the multidisciplinary staff that supports recovery and well-being in persons that are served. The team works closely together and collaborates regularly in agency wide medical staff meetings. Providers cover for each other during vacation, illness and leave times. The physician assistant is supervised by the Medical Director.

Psychiatric Physician Assistant Requirements:

Licensed Certified Physician Assistant in the State of Ohio required.
Suboxone Waiver required, or working towards obtaining
Added qualification in psychiatry is preferred or working towards obtaining

Psychiatric Physician Skillset Includes:

Experience treating psychiatric conditions and addiction disorders with medication.
Physical Examinations, knowledge of medical disease, anatomy and its comorbidity with psychiatry and addiction
Ability to work collaboratively with providers, nurses, counselors, front line multidisciplinary staff
Knowledge of community and health resources for holistic consultation and referral purposes, so that individuals served receive comprehensive diagnoses, evaluation and treatment.

Psychiatric Physician Assistant Benefits:

Salary commensurate with psychiatric and addiction experience. Range $100,00 – 120,000
