General Summary
The Manufacturing Technician will support all ongoing projects within the Applications (Engineering) Department.
Responsibilities
· Plays a supporting role in the design, development and build of new fixtures.
· Fabrication of new equipment, machines, workstations and robotic cells.
· Fabrication of prototype parts and assemblies
· Assist in the implementation of both temporary and long-term projects.
· Aid in the installation and startup of new equipment and processes.
· Work with technical writer on work instruction and supporting documentation.
· Assist in the wiring, terminating and routing of cables and hoses.
· Aid in the testing and validation of new systems and processes.
· All other projects and tasks as assigned.
Skills/Abilities
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent mechanical and technical skills.
· Excellent verbal communication skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Strong understanding of electrical schematics, line voltages and control voltages.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills
- Mechanical knowledge and experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in analysis and problem-solving
- Ability to read and interpret schematics
- Previous electrical experience is a plus
