DEPARTMENT : Shipping
JOB TITLE : Truck Driver (In Plant Yard Jockey)
SCOPE : Operate the vehicle safely and efficiently.
TRAINING and / or EDUCATION :
- Up to 2 months of training.
DUTIES :
- Move trailers to the assigned locations.
- Remain in constant communication with the department management, by mobile radio, to receive additional assignments and discuss existing problems.
- Check various vehicle operating fluids weekly and notifies the department management of existing, and / or potential problems.
RESPONSIBILITY :
- Work cooperatively, and in unison with co-workers, to achieve maximum efficiency in all physical work endeavors.
- Wear all required safety equipment and perform housekeeping duties as required.
- Identify defective material or equipment and notify the supervisor immediately of any problems.
- Report all injuries and company provided defective safety equipment promptly to the supervisor.
