What we need: We are looking for a Die Handler that will transport dies between storage and use, load dies onto forging press, maintain die storage, and performs other general labor as required. Job Requirements:
Maintain a safe work environment.
Drive and operate a forklift.
Operate Overhead Crane
Transport dies between storage and presses.
Clean and grease dies.
Review schedule and Plan daily work agenda
Operate a sandblast booth and a steam clean machine
Preassemble / disassemble tooling set-ups as required to specified procedures
Able to use a sledge hammer as part of assembly disassembly.
Load and unload dies from Car bottom furnaces
Assist in die set-ups at the press.
Return dies to correct locations in die storage.
Maintain computerized die inventory and perform audits.
Maintain die storage.
Assure quality and production requirements are met.
Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement.
Participate in LEAN manufacturing and SPC activities as required.
Participate in departments 5s program.
Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Takes strong ownership of work in progress and communicates with co-workers, Leads, Supervisors and Managers (as needed)
Comply with all APP, Inc. safety rules and company policies
Demonstrates a firm commitment to achieving APP’s Key Results
Report any equipment or facility defect(s) to Lead / Supervisor / Manager.
Ensure any accident or injury is promptly reported per APP’s safety policy.
Skill Requirements:
Completed High School.
Must be a certified forklift operator.
Previous forging experience is preferred, but not required.
On-the-job training is provided for this position.
3 months related manufacturing/production experience.
Able to read and understand instructions.
Blue print knowledge (a plus)

Compensation: $20.00 - $21.00 an hour. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
