We are currently looking for a rigorous Embedded Hardware Electronics Engineer that encompasses all phases of the product lifecycle. The position is a hands-on design of Instrumentation, Controls, and Ignition Systems and power electronics for stationary Natural Gas Engines. Are you a passionate engineer? Salary range: Flexible compensation, to be discussed based on individual qualifications and experience

Individual tasks:

  • Develop product architecture, and define requirements for electrical, mechanical, and firmware/software development
  • Analyze, design, and develop analog and digital circuits as required
  • Validate product and circuit robustness using computer simulations, conventional analysis and standard testing methodologies
  • Create schematics and assist internally or externally with PCB board layouts
  • Conduct and participate in design reviews
  • Prepare test requirements and instruction manuals
  • Work with manufacturing to assure lowest cost and highest manufacturability of products
  • Communicate with hardware and software engineers to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system
  • Communications protocols over hardware networks CAN, RS485, ETHERNET
  • Participate in part sustainment engineering
  • Part obsolescence
  • Aid in sourcing and procurement decisions of electronic components

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited program at an accredited university or college or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Working knowledge of microcontrollers, and typical microcontroller peripherals as well as serial and parallel busses
  • Knowledge about analog, digital, and power circuit design
  • In-depth use of equipment such as Oscilloscopes, power supplies, frequency counters, frequency sources, 4-20mA inputs and outputs, PC interfaces (Serial converters, CAN converters) Ethernet switches, etc.)
  • Knowledge of electrical CAD schematic capture, PCB board layout, Modbus.
  • Knowledge of engines, how they work, and the measurement, ignition, and control systems is a bonus.
