Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED; Associate Degree in Criminal Justice, preferred; Valid PA driver’s license; current CPR/AED/First Aid Certification; Basic School Resource Officer Course of Instruction (NASRO) required upon hire and paid by District; Act 120 Training or graduation from PA State Police Academy, employed as a State trooper with PSP and separated from service in good standing required.

Physical Demands: Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, & visitors. Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends. Must be able to stand for sustained periods of time & walk for sustained periods of workday; required to stoop, kneel, crawl and lift at least 50 lbs. Must be able to receive verbal communication and convey details or important instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly. Must be able to work in extreme cold (32 degrees or less) and extreme heat (90 degrees or more). Subject to physical hazards.

Experience: Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in security/police services necessary. Criminal justice coursework preferred.
