Position: Occupational Therapy Assistant (Contract)

Duration: Minimum 1-year commitment

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 10am-6pm

Requirements:

• Current State of Ohio Occupational Therapy Assistant License
• BLS Certification

Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing and planning standard occupational therapy treatments, techniques, and activities within the scope of practice.
• Work under general supervision of an occupational therapist to develop, improve, or restore function for individuals with physical handicaps, emotional disorders, and developmental disabilities.
• Administer standardized assessments such as Kohlman Evaluation of Living Skills and Allen Level Cognitive Screen.
• Provide one-on-one or group treatment sessions, focusing on skills necessary for daily living and community integration.
• Collaborate with treatment team members to develop individualized patient programs and track progress.
• Maintain detailed patient logs, records, and written reports for treatment teams, patients, and families.
• Participate in treatment team meetings, workshops, seminars, and in-service education programs.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Conduct client interviews and gather necessary information for treatment planning.
• Assist in the design and construction of orthotic devices and adaptive equipment.
• Prepare patients for independent community living and provide resources for support and recovery.
• Oversee activities of occupational therapy student interns.

Compensation:

• Competitive pay rate: $26-28/hr
