Director of Operations | Equipment Finance | St Louis, MO

Altius Search Group is recruiting for a Director of Operations for one of our clients in St Louis, MO. The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations for an Equipment Finance Division, handling any customer service issues that surface. This involves managing operations (such as processing, servicing, accounting, and reporting functions) and ensuring they adhere to the highest standards, maximizing the efficiency of processes and systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, and communicate policies and procedures to team members.
• Supervise the daily workflow of the team and manage the application, documentation, and processing pipeline.
• Assist other operations personnel with administration integration and refine processes to improve turnaround time.
• Oversee all facets of loan operations, including payment posting, payoffs, draw requests, balancing, and disbursing loan funds.
• Synthesize and structure information to provide accurate and useful reporting to senior management.
• Maintain and demonstrate expertise with loan software applications, collaborating with system providers to maximize application utilization, streamline processes, and ensure accuracy and compliance. Organize training for periodic updates to system software and validate that enhancements are functioning correctly.
• Direct loan input (system boarding) and verification procedures for all loans, ensuring the proper segregation of duties and maintaining workflows for all stages of loan input.
• Review legal documents and approve customer requests for amendments.
• Provide secondary review of credit applications and approvals, and offer feedback to credit analysts.
• Assist the collections team with payment processing, delinquency monitoring, and customer follow-up as needed.
• Be aware of compliance responsibilities and specific requirements affecting your area, incorporating these requirements into business processes and procedures, performing ongoing monitoring, and ensuring appropriate training for team members regarding these responsibilities and procedures.
• Duties include interviewing and hiring; facilitating the overall development of team members; providing coaching, mentoring, and opportunities for career growth; assigning and directing work; appraising performance; recognizing and rewarding employees or recommending disciplinary action when appropriate; addressing complaints and resolving issues; and fostering a positive team culture.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6 years of Operations Experience in the Equipment Finance Industry.
• Previous Credit experience is preferred.
• Previous Commercial loan documentation experience is required.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
