Altitude Paint and Coatings is Hiring a PAINT / EPOXY APPRENTICE or SKILLED LABORER Near Missoula, MT

Job Summary:
Local company looking for paint, epoxy, and general labor apprentice OR skilled professional. Experience in the trades is strongly preferred. Must have a 'lean in' attitude, a willingness to learn, and do hard physical work. A-level players only. Good starting pay (DOE) with raises provided quickly for hard work. Must be ICEC certified, or willing to obtain certification. (We can help with this for the right candidate) Prefer long-term person committed to growth and promotion. Hours can be flexible to accommodate for family and personal time. Good attitudes only, must have reliable transportation.

Duties:

  • Perform concrete finishing tasks with precision and attention to detail
  • Install fixtures and fittings accurately according to specifications
  • Maintain and care for various types of flooring surfaces
  • Apply caulking to seal joints and seams effectively
  • Participate in remodeling projects from start to finish
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and smoothing as necessary.
  • Apply paint or other finishes to various surfaces, including walls, ceilings, cabinets, and furniture, using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
  • Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired hues and shades, ensuring consistency throughout the project.
  • Protect surrounding areas and furniture from paint splatter and spills by using drop cloths, tape, and masking materials
  • Repair and patch damaged areas on surfaces to be painted, including filling holes and cracks with appropriate materials.
  • Evaluate surfaces for defects or imperfections that may affect the quality of the finished paint job and take corrective actions.
  • Follow safety protocols and use protective equipment to minimize exposure to hazardous materials and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Maintain painting equipment and tools in good working condition, performing regular cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with other team members, contractors, and clients to coordinate painting projects and meet deadlines.
  • Keep accurate records of materials used, hours worked, and project progress for billing and reporting purposes.
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools for different tasks.

Qualifications:

- Experience in concrete finishing, floor care, general carpentry, restoration, caulking, remodeling, interior/exterior painting and the use of hand tools desired.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of the job
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing project requirements
