The LPN will provide professional nursing care to office patients under supervision of patient care providers. This is a busy office , but one that rarely has openings on the team. The staff works well with one another and truly model the team culture.Hours: 20 hours per week. Ideally Monday & Thursday (8 hours each) and Fridays (4 hours) BUT are flexible and can discuss the schedule more with anyone interested in the position.Responsibilities:Room patients, assess patient's general condition, take vital signs and weight.Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.Assist with office quality metrics and data gathering for the quality metrics tracked by the officePatient triage both in-person and via telephoneObtain prescription refills and prior authorizations.Point of Care testing i.e. blood glucose checksDocument all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.Follow-up on the education they received moving forward after visit to assess for understanding and effectiveness.Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM injections.Comply with all policies and procedures.#J-18808-Ljbffr
