Alternative Community Resource Programs Inc is Hiring a Mental Health Professional Near Johnstown, PA

Job Summary:

The Mental Health Professional (MHP) is a working lead level. The incumbent may provide direction, establish priorities, complete consultations with staff, students and students' families and collect/analyze data and fidelity procedures related to implementation across all three tiers of support in the MTSS pyramid. This candidate will be able to assess situations and make proper judgments, understand behavioral situations and react accordingly; objectively analyze and manage crisis situations, as well as make appropriate recommendations to various agencies, groups and individuals as needed. This individual will be able to work independently and make decisions within the framework of established guidelines. They will assist in planning and providing needed training as it relates to the MTSS philosophy and framework. Reports To: Program Supervisor, Program Director, Federal Programs Student Services Coordinator.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Works as a team member with teachers, counselors, school social workers, administrative personnel and all other appropriate personnel
• Delivers behavioral services district wide for both youth therapy and staff training and follows through on delivering the principles and procedures of behavior analysis
• Can develop and monitor comprehensive behavioral objectives, goals and plans including an FBA, and BIP
• Complete all required documentation, records, reports, and assignments in a timely manner, while ensuring consistency with agency standards, rules and regulations
• Attends and participates in all clinical reviews, trainings, consultations, internal/external student meetings, and/or any client review meetings in a timely manner
• Participate in and assist with MTSS program implementation, participation and ability to apply plans for all three tiers
• Identifies Tier III interventions and works with related agencies and supports to link the student to those supports
• Ensures consistency of behavioral standards by coordinating and communicating with appropriate student contacts and reports out to appropriate personnel and agencies
• Collects data from multiple sources such as direct observations, interviews and assessments, FBA, School Wide Information System (SWIS) data, reinforcement surveys etc. and appropriately analyze it for the purposes of reporting out to stakeholders
• Maintains records and charts regarding contacts with students which detail proposed and completed behavioral objectives; maintains records management systems
• Performs other related duties, as assigned

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education / Experience:

• Masters degree in psychology, sociology, education or another human service related field
• One (1) year of professional experience in the mental health field, preferred
• One (1) year of experience in emotional disturbance and other challenging behaviors, preferred
• Experience working in public schools, Preschool-age 21, preferred
• Expertise in the field and knowledge of Multi-Tiered Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS), preferred

Required Skills and Abilities:
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills

Required Clearances:
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a private vehicle.
• Act 31 Clearance
• Pennsylvania State Police Background Check
• FBI Fingerprint Clearance
• Child Abuse Clearance

Physical Requirement:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
