JOB SUMMARY

Lead the planning and coordination of Applications including gathering requirements and planning for systems selection, system design, testing implementation, systems integration, training, and system maintenance for client hospitals.

P&L responsibility for one or more cost centers at an outsourcing account with revenues of $3-5 million.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide effective and efficient applications support IT services that meet the needs and requirements of client health systems.
  • Assist in account profitability to meet revenue and margin requirements set at the corporate level.
  • Manage the client relationship effectively and resolve client issues.
  • Continuously identify risks and escalate them appropriately.
  • Utilize and manage staff effectively to achieve milestones/goals and ensure staff is motivated and competent.
  • Manage complex implementations and post-implementation optimization across hospital/health system networks.
  • Scope projects, develop budgets, and assess cost of ownership.
  • Translate clinical needs and requirements to IT requirements effectively.
  • Develop strategy and resource plans to anticipate demand for implementation services and workforce needs.
  • Research and recommend new technologies to streamline processes, supporting improved care and reducing costs.
  • Develop and implement policies and practices for client installations.
  • Manage and develop clinical and/or business applications support employees engaged in multiple client projects.
  • Act as a liaison between application teams and client management and end users to determine application needs and resolve problem situations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the timely and consistent delivery of application assistance to clients.
  • Plan and implement self and department improvement activities to meet current and future client needs.
  • Identify and recruit internal/external talent to ensure an effective mix of competencies.
  • Induct new joiners to quickly maximize performance.
  • Set and communicate team/individual objectives and KPIs to inspire individuals to achieve high performance.
  • Allocate workload to fully utilize every employee’s talent.
  • Implement development plans and coach individuals to reach their maximum talent.
  • Provide regular constructive feedback on performance/development and address poor/mediocre performance in a timely manner.
  • Recognize high performers to maintain motivation and retain key talent.
  • Regularly communicate company news and team progress against the business plan.
  • Create team spirit.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree and relevant practical and managerial experience in the assigned area is preferred.

Work Experience

  • 15 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in information technology management, preferably in a healthcare institution, is preferred.

Management Experience

  • 7 years of relevant leadership experience, including responsibility for organizational objectives and measurements, is preferred.
