MANAGER, DEVELOPMENT - .NET HEALTHCARE R&D

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a passionate Software Development Manager to lead a high-performing team responsible for building and maintaining our Sunrise healthcare interoperability solutions. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our products meet the needs of healthcare clients and contribute to the success of our organization. Sunrise™ | Altera Digital Health (alterahealth.com)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the development lifecycle of healthcare interoperability solutions, including resource allocation, project planning, and execution.
• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, quality engineers and testers.
• Implement and champion the use of agile development methodologies to guide development processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to define product requirements, prioritize features, and track progress.
• Monitor key performance metrics and identify areas for improvement to enhance team productivity and software quality.
• Establish and maintain effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that promotes creativity, innovation, and professional growth.
• Recruit and onboard new team members, set performance goals, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Manage escalated issues and ensure timely resolution.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience.

Experience

• 8 years’ experience in healthcare software development
• Experience in healthcare interoperability, specifically FHIR.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile.
• Experience with .NET technologies, C#, and SQL. 
• Experience with web application development.
• 2-3 years’ experience leading software development teams preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
• Experience managing and resolving customer issues.
