Requires a BS or MS in engineering. All the skills and abilities of Engineer L1. Additionally, must be proficient in technical writing and possess computer skills for scientific and technical applications. Possess CATIA V5 and V6 experience with drawing creation, advanced surfacing, sheet metal, CAE, and draft analysis. Responsibilities to include: design feasibility, cost analysis, strength calculations, part construction, part specification, scheduling and coordinating activities involved in prototyping, fabricating, and manufacturing of assigned systems. Must be able to work with suppliers to assure parts/services are requested appropriately, evaluate technical proposals, and write technical reports. Make technical decisions with moderate supervision. Ability to report research and test results in various technical formats. Able to work with a team or on an individual basis to reach project goals. Valid Ohio drivers license required.
