A Pathology Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the pathology department to provide administrative and organizational support by developing schedules, tracking milestones and performing quality control of the study data. They assist with compliance of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) with preparation and quality control of data for reporting and study audits, prepare necropsy and post necropsy forms and obtain Study Director approval as necessary. This role is responsible for maintaining the organization of necropsy notebooks, files and folders on our network and verifying the raw data as it is documented. They monitor and communicate study deadlines, ensure that study data is available to Safety Assessment and submitted to Quality Assurance on time.Job responsibilities include:Ensures data is available to the Safety Assessment team according to the study and company standardsVerify raw data for inclusion in study reportsEnsures laboratory compliance with GLP regulationsFocuses on process management and standardization to improve efficiencyWorking with laboratory groups to improve processes and write/modify SOPs as necessaryRequirements:Bachelors of arts or science preferred or AA with related work experienceone year of experience with GLP, or in a research lab settingMicrosoft office and Database Entry Ability to read and interpret scientific documents, machine operating and maintenance guides, study documents and communicate concepts to customer groups and employees
