Altar Group, an architecture and engineering firm dedicated to serving the community and supporting local nonprofits, is seeking a Civil Engineering Drafter experienced in land development and site design. By effectively coordinating with internal teams, you will aid in ensuring projects are completed on time and in accordance with established criteria.

Job Description: The ideal candidate will be comfortable with creating a visual aid with AutoCAD and Civil3D and be able to utilize strong design skills to create visual aids. This candidate would be comfortable in the Civil Engineering Drafter role, executing necessary civil designs on time which exceed our clients’ expectations. This position is hybrid and will be in-office on Mondays and Thursdays after an initial in-office training period of several weeks.

Responsibilities:

• Draft construction documents per Principal Engineer instruction
• Perform due diligence
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 2 years experience drafting Civil 3D and AutoCAD -or- Associate’s Degree in CAD/Drafting.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong drafting abilities – able to draft and pick up redlines.
• Ability to create and/or modify alignments, surfaces, cross sections and profiles in Civil 3D
• Experience in pipe networks is a plus.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication skills and design skills.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks with shifting priorities to meet project demands and schedules.

Full-time: The role will transition to a hybrid position (in-office Mondays and Thursdays; otherwise remote) after the initial in-office training period for several weeks.
