Altamira Technologies Corporation is Hiring a Lead IT System Administrator Near Warrenton, VA

Altamira Technologies Corp is seeking a technical professional to support IT infrastructure operations including troubleshooting and maintenance of servers, networks, and systems. The ideal candidate should be comfortable interacting directly with end customers, or internal company management and executives. They should also have a broad knowledge of IT systems, the impacts of system hardening on those systems, and experience diagnosing and resolving issues caused by system hardening.

Position Description:

Administer Microsoft Server, Office 365 GCC – High Environments, VMWare infrastructure, Active Directory User Accounts, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
Ensure day-to-day operation and high availability of both LAN and Wide Area Networks that span redundant data centers and multiple sites
Implement, optimize, monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity and traffic flow utilizing a multitude of network management and monitoring tools
Monitor and respond to network outages and service requests to troubleshoot and remediate network issues
Support IT Projects during design, testing, and implementation.

Required Qualifications:

Three (3) or more years of experience with network, system administration, design, and maintenance
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Clearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and will need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills

Desired Qualifications:

Knowledge of Linux, Windows, Azure, AWS, Cisco, Palo Alto or Fortinet network infrastructure systems
Proficiency in VPN, Web and Email Gateways, Spam Filters, Proxies, DNS, DHCP, and Certificates
Experience with configuration and deployment of Cisco ASA and Fortinet Firewall platforms
Strong desire and ability to discover the root cause of complex problems and communicate them effectively across IT disciplines and to IT and Line of Business Management
Demonstrated technical or academic leadership experience.
CISSP certification
