Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical and administrative tasks. This is a full-time position in a hospital setting.
Duties:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine tests and blood draws
- Prepare patients for X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
- Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and general health information
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic coding principles
- Experience in providing direct patient care in a healthcare setting preferred
- Proficiency in medication administration techniques
- Ability to accurately take and record vital signs
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent patient service
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
