About Your Work

Join our Transformation team as Associate Vice President, Managed Services Organization Operations and Integration reporting to our Vice President, Transformation. In your roleyou'll direct and oversee the strategic and daily operations of the MSO, as well as all functions related to network management, claims, contracting, health plan management, and system configuration Your role will involve cross-functional capacity in the coordination, planning, management, integration of operational, IT and reporting functions including processes, IT, reporting to improved quality, compliance, outcomes, and cost effectiveness to drive scale and customer service. You will establish and execute initiatives leading to growth and financial performance. We seek strategic and process minded leaders with a strong commitment to patient-centered care and a passion for promoting health and wellness.

As our new Associate Vice President, Managed Services Organization Operations and Integration you will work primarily remote where you will occasionally travel to our Headquarters in Oakland City Center.

You will focus on:

  • Managing MSO operational infrastructure for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in MSO operations, providing guidance in internal and external meetings.
  • Establishing protocols in the facilitation of strategic interdepartmental cooperation, motivating development of new tools and methods for dealing with crisis situations.
  • Identifying and developing well thought out and detailed process improvement plans across MSO operations.
  • Managing and overseeing the broad activities of the MSO through the interpretation, application and implementation of company-wide policies and procedures relevant to the assigned functional area(s).
  • Interacting with executives and major customers, representing the organization in high-visibility activities.

The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring

  • 10 years' experience in a management level role within an MSO, health plan and practice operations.
  • Successful influencer who can interact effectively with diverse groups of stakeholders such as physicians, healthcare administration, and staff.
  • Demonstrated experience managing one or more departments. 
  • Strong management skills with the ability to lead cohesive and productive teams. 
  • Ability to facilitate and lead successful outcomes that is mutually satisfactory to all stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead change management initiatives.
  • Strong customer service focus for physicians, members, customers, and employees.
  • Strategic thinker with ability to see the “big picture”.
  • Team player who can build collaborative relationships across the organization.
  • Understands the value of technology and can address issues of costs, benefits, and analyze risk.
  • Results-oriented personality; self-starter.
  • High tolerance for complex, ambiguous, and changing environments.

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. We provide a competitive compensation package that recognizes your experience, credentials, and education alongside a robust benefits program to meet your needs. 

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed in our salary posting for transparency but may vary based on factors including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and geographic location. This base pay range is specific to California and can vary based on Bay Area, Metro LA, and Greater California regions which may not be applicable to other locations.

Physical Requirements: Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork – Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of workday.
