Job Responsibilities:

Duties will consist of, but not be limited to:

• Perform thorough physical therapy evaluations according to state law and APTA guidelines
• Establish a plan of care for physical therapy for patients
• Provide EMR documentation in a timely manner to support treatment and treatment goals
• Evaluate patient outcomes to determine effectiveness of treatments
• Discharge patients appropriately and follow up with patients
• Oversee occupational therapy aide(s) and assistant(s)
• Participate in care coordination meetings
• Assist in designing treatment protocols
• Participate in in-services

Qualifications:

• 2 years’ experience working in physical therapy position required
• Experience in outpatient orthopedics setting is highly preferred
• Currently licensed professional physical therapist in California.

Physical Requirements:

• Walking distances are occasional and no greater than 50 yards, unless walking to or from the parking garage
• Moderate phone usage
• Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds unassisted, including assisting patients when required.
• Adequate physical ability including sufficient manual dexterity to perform the requisite health care service.
• Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some heavy lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.
