Responsibilities: Our mine services group is seeking a full-time Field Service Technician for our Northwood, OH branch. The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:Complete inspectionsWork on site doing installation, repair and maintenanceAbility to stick weldRemoval and installation of partsImplementation of optional accessoriesBasic diagnosis and troubleshootingTestingUpkeep of the service truckResponsible for the inventory of onboard partsIncorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activitiesPerforms other duties as assignedConsistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start timeQualifications: Three years of previous equipment repair experience is requiredCDL class "B" highly recommended Excellent mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of engine and electricalPossess own toolsA positive attitude and high energyMust have a clean driving recordComputer programs - Microsoft OutlookLanguage Skills - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.Mathematical Skills - Basic: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.Reasoning Ability - Intermediate: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
