We are assisting our client, a growing physical medicine and rehabilitation practice that focuses on regenerative and restorative treatments in hiring a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant with a primary focus on conducting neurodiagnostic testing. Our team of practitioners works closely with each patient to create and implement a detailed, humanistic treatment plan that considers all aspects of a patient’s condition, to reach one goal- improving our patient’s quality of life by helping them achieve functional independence.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tests, including Oculometrics (OcM), Electroencephalography (EEG), Vestibular/Ocular Motor Screening (VOMS), Sleep Studies, and Videonystagmography (VNG).

We are looking for a Medical Assistant to support the day-to-day functions of our practice, be a professional representative to our patients, and actively be an integral support for the entire team.

  • $22 -$26 based on experience

Schedule
  • Non-Exempt, Full Time
  • Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Core Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conducting neurodiagnostic tests including OcM, EEG, VOMS, Sleep Studies, and VNG
  • Preparing patients for testing procedures and providing necessary instructions
  • Operating and maintaining equipment used for testing
  • Ensuring accurate documentation of test results and patient information
  • Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Prepare patients for examination, take vitals, and record patients' health history
  • Complete patient chart preparation
  • Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments
Additional Responsibilities
  • Facilitate patient checkout and order MRIs or labs as needed
  • Send weekly referrals
  • Prepare and set up injections and dispense medications
  • Receive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, check in patients, obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients
  • Assist clinicians with medical treatments, procedures, and exams as needed
  • Assist Front Desk as needed
  • Update patient demographics/information in the chart
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Travel
  • Travel to satellite clinics including San Diego, Stockton, Fresno, Reno, and Palmdale several times monthly to offer clinician support (time and travel will be compensated)
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Proper Medical Assistant Training
  • Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures (preferred)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a consistent, courteous, and friendly manner
  • Willingness to learn medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • Must be open to occasional travel
  • Bilingual Spanish/English
