Job Description:

General Responsibilities:

As a Construction Materials Field Technician you will be involved with field observation, testing, sampling and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, and asphalt. Under the direction of one or more of our project managers, you will perform routine field tests and assist in more complex tasks, as required. You may be involved with calculations and data reduction of test results, drafting and other administrative duties, as required. Daily communication is required with site contractors, other technicians and project managers. Alt & Witzig will train candidates to document findings in accordance with accepted engineering practice, but a general understanding of construction practices and procedures is a plus. Alt & Witzig encourages increasing competencies and skills through internal and external training programs and certification.

Requirements:

Valid Driver’s License

Ability to work Independently

Able to lift up to 40 pounds

Strong and Professional Communication skills

People with ACI certification highly encouraged to apply

Job Type: Full-time with overtime potential throughout the summer construction season

Company Vehicle provided for Work duties
