Could you be the full-time onsite EHS Manager in Newark, NJ, US we're looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your extensive EHS expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside dedicated, knowledgeable, and collaborative teammates. You'll lead the organization in creating a safe and healthy work environment that aligns with company safety policies, programs, engineering processes, and reflects federal, state, and local regulations. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, contractors, vendors, and Port Authority Personnel), provide safety advice, investigate incidents, audit processes, and much more.
We'll look to you for:
Overseeing safe operating procedures for the Newark AirTran,
Auditing procedures, processes, documentation, and employees for compliance with internal and external requirements,
Monitoring, auditing, and reviewing safety procedures, as well as creating and conducting safety training for employees, contractors, vendors, and Port Authority Personnel,
Collaborating with the engineering department in the testing of systems and components to evaluate and minimize future problems from a safety perspective, and preparing safety reports for the customer on incidents within the AirTran System,
Performing job hazard analysis and developing safe work procedures related to job tasks, equipment, tools, and special projects,
Investigating accidents/incidents/near misses, reporting fully, and collaborating with the engineering department to develop solutions to prevent reoccurrence

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, or other relevant degree,
Experience or understanding of system safety or HSE in a hands-on capacity,
Strategic outlook and alignment with company safety and business goals,
Ability to perform job hazard analysis and develop safe work procedures,
Familiarity with federal, state, and local safety regulations
Ability to work on call 24/7/365
