Overview:
In the part-time role of Wine Steward duties include overseeing the day-to-day management of the Alpino wine inventory from ordering, stock management, inventory, tasting, list growth, sales, vendor relations, staff education, and marketing. The role includes exploring retail opportunities, contributions to public events, and private event allocations.

As a Server, you will be responsible for executing a seamless dining experience and ensuring exceptional customer service. Server compensation varies from Wine Steward duties.

Wine Steward additional duties:

• Maintain wine list under the guidelines of an Alpine inspired menu.
• Manage physical counts, proper storage, and movement of wine including maximizing space through creative selling.
• Careful management of our printed list including reprinting under out-of-stock permitters and ensuring staff are taking steps to keep lists clean and removed from tables when not in use.
• Ensure the online list presence is accurate and up to date.
• Maintain a proper floor wine display and in order of the list.
• Provide monthly reporting summary of sales across channels to upper management.
• Develop and share K.P.I.’s to help with identifying menu needs, sales opportunities, and cost cutting purchase initiatives.
• Assist owner in developing public events around wine focused ideas including trade and public tastings.
• Develop employee training materials related to the wine list.
• Promote competitive sales amongst staff through sales competition.
• Manage private event allocations and product management.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
