How you make a difference:
The Nurse Manager is a registered nurse with demonstrated expertise in psychiatric nursing, leadership, and management skills. The Nurse Manager is responsible for creating an environment conducive to achieving quality outcomes, effective use of resources and retention of quality staff. The Nurse Manager is responsible for the management and development of the assigned resources, human and fiscal, FTE’s, budgets, implementation of quality control, quality improvement, satisfaction of clients, families, staff and providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with Title 9 regulations and state/local standards, including oversight, auditing, and training.
Provide quality assurance for infection control and oversee staffing adjustments for efficient, budget-conscious care.
Lead the development of client-centered, evidence-based care delivery systems and monitor clinical practice for effectiveness.
Establish clinical learning opportunities, implement orientation programs, and promote ongoing staff education.
Analyze clinical indicators, promote quality monitoring, and drive improvements in care practices.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education
Registered Nurse (RN) degree from an accredited school of nursing
Experience
Minimum Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse, attained in a long-term care, med/surg or inpatient psychiatry, or similar setting that has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform satisfactorily the duties of the position.
Two (2) years of increasingly responsible leadership experience to include charge, lead, or supervisory responsibilities. (Preferred)
Licenses/Certifications
Bilingual (Preferred)
Current CPR/BLS certification (required)
Valid California Driver's License and driving history clear of major violations. (Required when driving for business needs)
CPI Certification (provided by the facility within first 90 days of employment).
