Per Diem Clinical Psychologist (Autism Diagnostic Testing-Clinic Based)

Position Overview

Alpine Learning Group is seeking an experienced NJ State Licensed Psychologist to work per diem in our diagnostic clinic and conduct neuropsychological evaluations and psychoeducational evaluations for all ages and autism evaluations for adolescents and adults (i.e., ages 13 and older). The psychologist will conduct all aspects of diagnostic testing, including initial diagnostic interviews with clients/caregivers, selection of diagnostic tests, administration of relevant testing measures, report writing that includes comprehensive recommendations, and follow up meeting with caregivers and or clients themselves. This position offers flexible hours as the psychologist will be responsible for scheduling their own appointments. However, full administrative support for HIPAA related paperwork, billing, and record keeping will be provided.

Job Responsibilities

The per diem psychologist will be responsible for the following:

  • Diagnostic testing only. (This position does not require the psychologist to conduct therapy or implement interventions).
  • Schedule and conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations.
  • Schedule and conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations.
  • Schedule and conduct comprehensive autism diagnostic evaluations.
  • Write comprehensive reports that:
    1. Identify client strengths and weakness with respect to cognitive, academic, emotional, behavioral, and social functioning,
    2. Provide interpretations of results that help clients better understand their learning, attention, and executive functioning, as well and social, emotional, and behavioral profiles.
    3. Read as a “bridge to service” and include extensive and specific recommendations that assist clients in obtaining the appropriate interventions.
    4. Can be used for diagnostic clarity, school placement or planning, as well as accommodations for testing.
    5. Are provided a week after testing is completed.
  • Conduct follow up meeting to review the results of the report and to answer client/caregiver questions.
  • Document services and store records as required by New Jersey State Laws and the APA Ethics Code.
  • Participate in meetings with team of psychologists, as needed.
Job Qualifications
  • New Jersey State Licensed Practicing Psychologist
  • PhD or PsyD
  • Significant experience implementing psychological and neuropsychological evaluations across age ranges
  • Extensive knowledge of interventions, educational accommodations, and therapies for a variety of neurodiverse populations
  • Experience in using the ADOS-2 and in diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder across age ranges
Compensation

Compensation for this position is determined by completed evaluations. Rates will be discussed during the interview process.
