The Maintenance Technician will perform corrective, preventative, and continuous improvement maintenance on production equipment throughout a multi-process pet food manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities:

· Demonstrate safe work habits and knowledge of safety protocols while performing job functions.

· Ability to safely use hand and power tools, use personal protective equipment, and maintain job site safety.

· Complete preventative, and corrective work orders via the work order system when not answering production-related calls.

· Keeping accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.

· Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting in an industrial environment.

· Answers production calls via radio communication and responds with urgency and determination to get the job done efficiently and safely.

· Will need to work both independently and in a team environment, given the situation.

· Candidate will need to be self-motivated, and eager to learn.

· All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

· Must be able to communicate clearly.

· Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a semi-regular basis.

· Be able to work with your hands regularly.

· Must be able to frequently climb ladders, and work at heights in scissor lifts, etc.

· Crouching, bending, and kneeling will be necessary frequently.

· Ability to take direction and complete a task with confidence.

· Must be willing and able to learn.

· Willing to train the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will have:

· 3 Years of recent, and concurrent electrical and mechanical troubleshooting in an industrial environment.

Work Environment:

• 12-hour, 4-5-day shift environment with a customer service orientation to plant operations.
• Pre-employment background/drug screening and e-file background testing are required.
• Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices, including appropriate safety equipment apply.
• While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be required to stand for prolonged periods of time, climb stairs, climb ladders, and walk plant floors that could exceed one mile of travel per day.

· This position may require working in extreme environments (hot, and cold).
