Assistant Group Leader : Afterschool Assistant

At AlphaBest, our students are filled with curiosity and wonder! As their guide , you'll help lead them through fun learning activities, with plenty of support and training.

Locations : Teacher Assistants are needed at Prince William County Schools in Woodbridge, Haymarket, Gainesville, Bristow, and Manasses.

Schedule : No weekends! Part time (mornings and / or afternoons)! The Before School hours are roughly 6 : 00-9 : 00 AM and the After School hours are roughly 3 : 00-6 : 30 PM.

Pay & Benefits :

• $14.00 / hour and no experience necessary! Hiring Bonus Paid $175.00 up front and $175.00 after 6 months.

As an AlphaBEST Assistant Guide, you'll be trained to do the following :

• Assist AlphaBEST Guides as they lead a group of student explorers through exciting adventures in fitness, the arts, technology, and more!
• Have fun!
• Work collaboratively with peers to ignite children's sense of wonder.
• Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by building on students' interests and talents.
• Provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive staff, child, and parent relationships are fostered.

Here's what you'll need :

• Must have a high school diploma or GED,
• Must be at least 16 years old
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
• Must pass a Background Screening and Central Registry check.
