Position: Site Director (Non-Exempt Position) | Reports to: Area Manager Position Objective: The Site Director is a positive, inspiring leader who is responsible for working with Group Leaders and Teacher Assistants, to accomplish organizational goals. Goals include passionate delivery of quality programming, financial success through optimization of resources, adherence to state licensing regulations, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Child Safety and Supervision: Adheres to the policies and procedures in a proactive manner, making the safety and care of children a primary focus. 1. Understands and adheres to licensing regulations/standards, such as reporting child incidents and proper health and hygiene procedures. 2. Provides oversight in emergency situations such as evacuation procedures and CPR/First Aid. 3. Monitors environment, including outside play areas to maintain a safe and healthy site. 4. Reports suspected child abuse and neglect in accordance with mandated reporter guidelines. 5. Stays apprised of child-related food allergies, special needs and other medically sensitive conditions. 6. Reports to the Area Manager any concerns regarding child behavior, sickness, health-related observations, accidents or incidents requiring medical attention or matters that should be reported to the parents. 7. Provides oversight to staff who provide accommodations to students with special needs, such as non-English-speaking students or those with physical and mental disabilities. 8. Inspects daily all facilities, equipment, and supplies to ensure all are accounted for and put away at the end of each day. 9. Understands state requirements and emergency procedures and notifies the Area Manager of suspected violations or concerns. 10. Manages the overall condition of the space, eating areas, and other program space that are used on a regular basis (i.e. safe, clean, neat). 11. Recognizes potential issues and applies established procedures and problem solving methods as needed. 12. Adheres to school district’s on-site safety expectations, implements the safety plan at the site, and carries out the monthly drill to be tracked on-site in emergency drill logs and assessments. 13. Supervises and provides support for the backpack/lunch storage system and maintains accurate meal records for daily reporting (where applicable). 14. Reports and documents immediately all injuries or incidents, utilizing established procedures for notification to parents and regional leadership. 15. Talent/Student Management: Supervises, trains, mentors, coaches, and manages all staff and students in the program at the site. Provides monthly goals to support site staff as contribution to professional development in order to grow and retain superior talent.

1. Manages the onboarding and development of staff to minimize external recruiting and is able to retain staff to minimize turnover. 2. Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures in compliance with state regulations. 3. Manages, mentors, and coaches Group leaders/Teacher Assistants by demonstrating expected behaviors, disseminating required knowledge, and assisting with skill development. 4. Builds a successful and cohesive team by providing collaborative opportunities, establishing and maintaining good working relationships, and utilizing effective conflict management techniques to accomplish team goals. 5. Coaches and supports staff development to build a creative, innovative, service oriented culture. Builds and supports a culture where Group Leaders are personally accountable and demonstrate pride in their work. 6. Maintains effective communication with Group Leaders and assists with decision making as needed. Holds Group Leaders accountable through regular communication, feedback, and guidance. 7. Articulates clear standards and expectations, asks questions and actively listens, and gives timely effective feedback. 8. Participates in the onboarding of staff orientation, training and staff meetings. 9. Sets high standards of performance for self and others; assumes responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks. Performs annual evaluations of Zone Leaders to assess yearly performance. 10. Educates staff members on the requirements and procedures for reporting suspected child abuse and neglect. 11. Works effectively and cooperatively with team members, including subordinates, superiors, and peers. 12. Monitors and approves staff time, completes and submits incident reports, rosters, receipts, and all other program related records in accordance with established policies. 13. Reports all absences, no-call/no-shows, tardiness, or requests for time off to the Area Manager. 14. Supports and implements human resource policies and procedures.
