The candidate will play a key role in supporting and optimizing the messaging technologies.MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:The role requires the candidate to function as an operations specialist in providing Tier 2 support to maintain and optimize the messaging platforms. Main responsibilities will include the support of the Data Leakage Prevention platform running on Symantec’s Vontu application as well as overall operation of platforms it integrates with. In addition, the role will include the administration of other messaging platforms such as Microsoft Exchange, BES, and Good For Enterprise. The responsibilities include system upgrades, patching, working with requestors and implementation of new detection patterns within DLP. In addition the candidate must have strong communication skills and become the liaison between requesters, legal, engineering and product management teams. Thorough understanding of messaging technologies such as Microsoft Exchange and/or other SMTP/MTA technologies is a must. The candidate will be required to work closely with the monitoring team and other support teams to produce proper escalation manuals and procedures. Ability to acquire additional responsibilities within the messaging and collaboration space.Candidate is expected to work in a fast pace environment and be able to deliver quality work under aggressive time constraints.
