Alpha Phi International is Hiring a Technology Support Specialist Near Denver, CO

Position Summary:

The Technology Support Specialist is the lead staff technology expert and is pivotal in the oversight and maintenance of the Alpha Phi member database, various technological applications, as well as critical IT infrastructure, including physical and virtual assets, telecommunication systems, and network components. The successful candidate must be able to effectively communicate, document projects, develop action plans, train employees, and deliver results on time.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Database Management (70%)
  • Strategic oversight of the member database including implementing, testing, monitoring, and reorganizing database content.
  • Analyze user requirements and statistics and participate in database and/or platform tool design and performance evaluation reviews.
  • Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use.
  • Frequently Update membership database and associated project management site when member personal information changes, as a result of returned mail or e-mail bounce backs, upon receiving obituary notifications, and when staff, volunteer, or other role changes happen within the organization.
  • Periodically pull lists of members in database to help support organization solicitations and campaigns to members.
  • Create various website and database forms that pull information from the database for Fraternity events, member and volunteer reporting, and member correspondence.
  • Manage the member and volunteer technology e-mail inbox, fielding troubleshooting questions regarding technological platforms and access issues.
  • Work with database vendor to timely troubleshoot issues and develop new processes as needed.
Systems/Asset Management (30%)
  • Work with third party IT company to manage the inventory, hardware lifecycle, and deployment of all Alpha Phi devices for both in office and remote staff
  • Manage the support and training for connected devices at the headquarters building, including computers, networking equipment, and audio-visual equipment in conference rooms and offices.
  • Work with various 3rd party platforms, including the IT managed service provider and database vendors, to diagnose and resolve complex system and network issues, including implementing necessary updates as platform features, user interface, and technical capabilities evolve.
  • Create, update, and present staff training materials, including for employee onboarding and offboarding, to assist with the upkeep of the employee knowledge base.
  • Self-educate to maintain overall system understanding, including researching, and understanding new capabilities provided through recurring feature releases, and proactively pursuing relevant training.
  • Research and evaluate hardware and software technology options based on technical needs and provide recommendations weighing the cost/benefit analysis on behalf of the company.

Qualifications:

Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or other technical related field preferred
  • 2 years of related IT/Database experience preferred
  • Experience supporting M365 (Exchange Online, Teams, etc) and proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Able to work independently with minimal guidance
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
  • Travel is less than 10%

Salary:
  • Pay Range in Denver, CO $55,000-$60,000
  • Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location
