Lead Barkeeper Job DescriptionReports to: Food and Beverage Manager | FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Full-Time or Part-Time
Position OverviewLead Barkeepers mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages based on guest requests. Their duties include verifying the identification and age of guests, prepare and serving alcoholic beverages, accepting payment from guests, keeping areas and supplies clean, balancing receipts to record sales, work with the Guest Attendants to ensure the golf simulators are operating appropriately. They will also help train and oversee the other barkeepers, have additional opening and closing duties, track day-to-day inventory and sales, and assist with other administrative tasks.

Essential Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesFOOD AND BEVERAGE
- Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant guests
- Interact with guests, take orders, and serve food and drinks
- Assess guest needs, and preferences to make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Check the guest's identification and confirm it meets the legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish inventory and supplies
- Stay guest-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Keep areas clean and tidy
- Cash and credit card handling
- Communicate effectively with Cooks and Guest Attendants
- Adhere to all Alpen Bluffs standard open and close procedures
- Adhere to all Alpen Bluffs Policies and Procedures
- Complete end-of-night cash reconciliations
- Enter food and drink orders accurately into the restaurant POS system
- Run sales reports in the POS system
- Ensure other barkeepers uphold to daily expectations
- Help train barkeepers properly
- Adheres to all standards of Lead Barkeeper position
- Other duties as assigned.
- Check in guests for golf simulators
- Administer golf club rentals
- Ensure the Golf Pro or League Administrator has everything needed for leagues and special events REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a Bartender
- Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
- Foodservice knowledge
- Computer Literacy
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
- Relevant training certifications (TIPS and ServSafe preferred)
- Comfortable handling payment from guests
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Stand for long periods of time
- Walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arm
- Frequently required to balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
