Aloha Dental is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Las Vegas, NV

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. We need a great team player with a positive, upbeat personality. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting the dentist and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in dental assisting and a passion for providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing the treatment area and patient for treatment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform basic dental laboratory procedures, such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history and treatment plans
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment system
- Assist with front desk duties, such as answering phone calls, greeting patients, and handling paperwork

Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Proficiency in taking dental x-rays and operating dental equipment
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in medical documentation systems
