Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. Your primary duties will include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and assisting with various administrative tasks.

Duties:

- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner

- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar

- Collect patient information and update medical records

- Verify insurance coverage and assist with insurance claims

- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area

- Assist with billing and payment processing

- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers

- Handle patient check-in and check-out processes

- Provide general administrative support to the medical office

Skills:

- Proficiency in using Microsoft 365

- Ability to work with Electronic Health Records and Practice Management software.

- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality

- Experience with medical records management and electronic health records (EHR) systems

- Strong understanding of medical scheduling procedures and protocols

- Previous experience working in a medical office or medical receptionist role is preferred

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment

- Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
