Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team at Aloft Charlotte Ballantyne. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel maintenance, possess excellent technical skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine maintenance tasks and repairs throughout the hotel facilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and other equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the proper functioning of all equipment and systems.
• Respond promptly to guest requests for maintenance assistance.
• Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain inventory of tools and equipment, and coordinate with suppliers for necessary materials.
• Adhere to safety and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities.
• Engineer must be able to drive the shuttle for our hotel guests. 

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a hotel or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Customer-focused with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment.

Education and Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant certifications in maintenance or a related field are a plus.
