POSITION: High School Spanish Teacher

LOCATION: Alma High School

REPORTS TO: Dan Falor, Building Principal

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid State of Michigan teaching certificate for Spanish, FF Endorsement required
• Meet requirements for background check and fingerprinting

Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills:
A successful candidate will possess:

• Successful experience working with High School age students
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of current teaching and learning strategies, specifically with Spanish language curriculum and incorporate innovative strategies
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate instructional techniques for high school students
• Ability to relate and instruct students in large groups, small groups, and individualized settings
• Ability to develop and use strategies to improve student achievement in all core content areas
• Ability to use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction
• Ability to contribute to a professional learning team
• Ability to create an engaging and collaborative learning culture in the classroom
