Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mental health care and providing support to patients in need.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct psychiatric assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulations
- Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in acute distress

Experience:

The successful candidate should possess the following skills:

- Experience with ICD-9 coding
- Proficiency in tube feeding techniques
- Knowledge of critical care practices
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health records system
- Ability to perform dermal fillers injections

This facility has 131 beds with 4 acute care units for adolescents and adults.
They also have a residential treatment center and Recovery Center.
They service both voluntary and involuntary admits they work closely with the state hospital with the acuity of patients they admit.
This facility is very traveler friendly, offering flexible schedules and discount lunches. There is always a house supervisor on site as well as managers, BHT’s and LPN’s.

They offer free onsite parking, and the scrubs are black.

Acute Unit ratios - 1:20 and for adolescent 2:20. 24 beds in each Residential Treatment Center and 16 beds in the Recovery Center both are staffed with 1 RN, 1 LPN and 3 BHTs.

Charting - HCS

Requirements:

-1 year of acute psych experience required. Preferably 3 years.
-Must be flexible with schedule and work EOW
-Handle with Care certification required - offered on site if needed.
