Allyn International is currently looking for IT Business Analyst to join our organization at our HQ in Fort Myers, Florida! Allyn is a privately-held professional services firm established in 1992. The IT Business Analyst will help the business implement technology solutions cost-effectively by determining the requirements of a project or program and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators, and partners. They will be primarily responsible for business analysis activities in accordance with the company's systems development methodology and supporting projects within a specific area. Manage design, research, testing, and implementation of projects
Position Details:
Location: Ft. Myers, FL
Work Schedule: 40 hours, 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday, some on call work over the weekend
Position Classification: Full-Time; Salaried Exempt, Associate-Level
Compensation: $50,000-$60,000, subject to experience
Physical Demands: Sitting, typing, and talking on the phone in a cubicle
Work Environment: Office Cubicle

Basic Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years experience in the IT field
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in business analysis/process improvement or related field
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills

Responsibilities:
  • Build the foundation for the project effort by capturing the business context - problem, current state, desired future state, objectives, business needs, and impacted user groups.
  • Develop requirements (business, user, process, and software requirements - functional and non-functional) and establish traceability to the business vision
  • Manage the requirements through the project lifecycle by establishing and maintaining agreements between the customer and the project tea.
  • Ensure the requirements are specified in a manner suitable for the intended audience and are understandable, unambiguous, and capable of being implemented and tested.
  • Ability to navigate the project team, IT personnel, and business sponsors through a level of ambiguity including business process change; building organization and structure to requirements to drive out and define detailed requirements in an efficient manner
  • Work with the project manager and the business customer(s) to define requirements stakeholders, requirements conflict resolution procedures, and the requirements team structure.
  • Understands multiple project management methodologies/software development approaches and defines the appropriate deliverables through project phases (i.e., planning, analysis, specification and validation
  • Responsible for ensuring change control and change management procedures are followed within the project team as they relate to requirements
  • Determine, understand, and document the business case and project scope
  • Ensure that quality business analysis standards are met through the effective implementation or use of approved processes, best practices, methodologies, and deliverable
  • Assess change requests related to requirements to assess the overall impact
  • Collecting, documenting, and confirming business requirements and functional specifications
  • Works closely with business partners and developers to ensure a consistent understanding of business processes and requirements.
  • Oversee test plans and associated test case scenarios delivered by Q&A analysts.
  • Assists with tasks and deliverables related to System Development Life Cycle phases for package and custom solutions
  • Attends and participates in user and project meetings and teams to expand knowledge as a participant or as a lead; facilitates project status meetings; tracks project status.
  • Investigate and document project issues and detailed requirements
  • Frequently interacts with IT staff including business area management, portfolio managers, vendors, consultants, and other contractors.
  • Has the role of a team leader, having the QA personnel reporting to the business analyst
