- Location - Midtown NYC, On-site only
- 5 days a week
- $55,000-$65,000 salary

Job Responsibilities
- Execute the placement of orders on behalf of a large restaurant
- Manage the procurement systems and processes to maximize opportunities for cost saving, price comparison, vendor negotiations, comparative analysis
- Responsible for ordering food, beverages and all other items for the restaurant
- Maintain organized records of all reports, PO’s and other vendor communications
- Maintain vendor records, costs, lead-time, etc. in our internal system
- Reconcile delivery shortages and overages with vendors
- Support accounting with reconciling invoice discrepancies
- Inventory and cost control – monthly inventory of all food and beverage
- Will spearhead the rollout of purchasing/inventory cost control management software
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrated success in a Food and Beverage procurement role
- Food Protection Certificate is a plus
- Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats (e. g., small print)
- Attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Proficient in food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, company policies and procedures, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports
- Demonstrated success in executing purchasing programs, management of inventory, and storage area maintenance
- Extensive familiarity with local and regional vendors and product distributors
- Enter and locate work-related information using computers and point of sale (POS)
- Technical and software experience with purchasing/inventory systems
- Proficient in Microsoft 365: Excel, Word, Outlook
- Passion for Fine Food products
