Allure Compounding Pharmacy is Hiring a Non-Sterile Pharmacy Technician Near Frisco, TX

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Non-Sterile Compounding Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the compounding of non-sterile medications in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of pharmaceutical calculations, meticulous attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in the compounding of non-sterile medications according to established formulas and protocols.
  • Accurately weigh, measure, and mix pharmaceutical ingredients to prepare compounded medications.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of compounding equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
  • Perform quality control checks on compounded medications to ensure accuracy, potency, and sterility.
  • Document compounding activities, including ingredient lot numbers, expiration dates, and quantities used.
  • Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to fulfill medication orders and meet patient needs.
  • Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation, ordering supplies, and conducting periodic audits.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in pharmacy technology preferred.
  • Prior experience in non-sterile compounding or pharmacy practice is highly desirable.
  • Strong math skills and the ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using compounding equipment and pharmaceutical tools.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards governing non-sterile compounding.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
