Medical Assistant (Pediatric Exp)
Join our dedicated Pediatric healthcare team in Okeechobee, FL, as a Medical Assistant. In this role, you will play a key part in patient care by performing various tasks, maintaining exam rooms, and ensuring a clean, organized environment. If you're detail-oriented, compassionate, and thrive in a fast-paced medical setting, we want to hear from you.
Set Schedule:
  • Monday: 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
  • Tuesday to Thursday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
  • Saturday & Sunday: Closed
What you get to do with us:
  • Screen patients following established protocols, including vital signs, height, weight, vision/hearing testing, and other procedures as directed.
  • Accurately chart patient information in the medical record in adherence to clinic policies.
  • Provide support to nurses and providers as needed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and work areas.
  • Perform phlebotomy/fingerstick procedures as trained and permitted.
  • Administer injections (subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intradermal) as required by the position.
  • Conduct various procedures as ordered, such as EKGs, nebulizer treatments, pulse oximeter, ear lavages, etc.
  • Manage appointments in the computer system, including making/canceling/rescheduling and following up on patient compliance.
  • Strictly adhere to infection control measures, including instrument sterilization, proper procedure performance, and needle disposal.
  • Understand and follow all emergency protocols, responding appropriately.
What we require from you:
  • Current RMA/CMA certification.
  • If no certification, a diploma is acceptable OR more than 3 years of OFFICIAL experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • MUST HAVE pediatric MA experience.
  • Must be Bilingual English - Spanish.
