AllSTEM Connections is Hiring an Electronics Technician Near Poway, CA

We are seeking 10 skilled Electronic Test Technicians to join our dynamic team. With both 1st and 2nd shift positions available, you'll have the flexibility to choose a schedule that works best for you.

Shifts Available:

  • 1st Shift: 5 am - 2:30 pm
  • 2nd Shift: 3 pm - 12:30 am

Description: As an Electrical Test Technician, you will be responsible for testing, aligning, calibrating, and troubleshooting electronic, mechanical, and optical sub-assemblies and equipment. You will also provide technical assistance, training, and problem-solving support to fellow team members, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Test and troubleshoot at a component level; identify and repair faults by checking components, soldering, or replacing parts as necessary.
  • Set up, perform, and analyze experiments and tests according to pre-arranged product test procedures.
  • Record results and findings into product test records.
  • Analyze and diagnose faults in the operational configuration of electronics systems and equipment to the PWA level.
  • Operate test equipment such as digital multi-meters (DMMs), oscilloscopes, power supplies, and signal generators.
  • Proficiently troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and integrated circuits to the component level.
  • Maintain accurate inventory information and segregate non-conforming materials.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on product changes and development.
  • Perform root cause analysis of nonconforming products.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma 5 years of experience
  • One to five years of relevant experience, with training or experience in test or experimental operations
  • Strong knowledge of basic electronics concepts such as Ohm’s Law, OP-Amp circuits, and AD/DC converters.
  • Proficient in using equipment like oscilloscopes, voltmeters, digital multimeters, function generators, ATE, and programming tools (ICD 2/3/4, CPLD, J-link).
  • Experience with computer operations and relevant applications.
  • Experience is Manual and Automated Testing
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and troubleshoot down to the component level on complex circuits.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security clearance is required (No C2C)

Desired

  • Associate degree preferred
  • Certification in electronics/soldering or engineering.
  • Linux and DOS programming
  • Training or experience in test or experimental operations acquired in the military or technical schools being highly desirable.
